Retention
Similar to Mixpanel's Segmentation Reports, their analytics platform also produces Retention Reports that visually measures when customers engage with your application or when they return. This allows you to accurately measure if the changes made in your app create a change in retention rate.
To easily break down the Retention Reports, Mixpanel creates Cohorts, groups of consumers who began using the app at the same time, giving you the ability to check out customer retention changes over time. Mixpanel provides the following example, "all of the people who started using your app in January form a new customer cohort for that month". This is an intelligent way to easily see if changes made to the app are more or less valuable to the cohort. These reports can measure how often a user is logging in as well as follow-up behavior and provide if there is a correlation. It is important to understand why consumers return and why they look elsewhere.

People
Mixpanel is treating mobile as a two-way street in that they are looking for more interaction with consumers why asking questions and requesting feedback. Mixpanel really focuses on the target by creating an activity feed that puts consumer behavior into a timeline that allows you to follow along with the users experience similar to InMobi. A great feature is being able to compare the behavior of customers who recently cancelled to see if they share similarities.
